Specify Cool Roofs - Use material which has a solar reflectance greater then 0.65 and emissivity greater then 0.9 tested and labeled per procedures established by Cool Roof Rating Council.

Standard 90.1-2001 - Energy Standard for Buildings: It includes minimum energy efficiency standards, building envelope requirements, zone isolation, floor, ceiling and roof insulation, and power allowance calculation  and includes information on alterations and additions to existing buildings, building envelope, wall and roof insulation, fenestration, recessed equipment and  air leakage.

Standard 55-1992 -- Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy: This standard specifies the combinations of indoor space environment and personal factors that will produce thermal environmental conditions acceptable to 80% or more of the occupants within a space. The environmental factors addressed are temperature, thermal radiation, humidity, and air speed.
